What Makes Us Different.
You will be treated by an experienced Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist with a minimum of 15 years clinical practice experience.
Your treating Physiotherapist will have completed extra post graduate university studies in addition to the standard professional development courses required of all Physiotherapists.
You will be given our personal cards and contact details to call and email us should you have any questions or concerns regarding your rehabilitation.
When appropriate, we will liaise with your referring GP, specialist, or health professional to keep them informed of your progress and encourage a holistic approach to your rehabilitation.
What to expect from your appointment?
Your treatment will vary depending on your specific needs and what you are looking for from Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology. We can offer:
Time dedicated to listening your concerns.
Physical assessment and diagnosis.
Education and goal setting.
Manual therapy to reduce pain. Depending on your preferences, this may involve:
Massage i.e deep tissue, trigger point therapy, gentle massage etc.
Joint mobilisation or manipulation,
Assisted stretching,
Dry needling,
Heat or cold therapy.
Prescription or reassessment of an exercise program. This may incorporate:
Pilates,
Running assessment,
Supervised gym programs,
Supervised hydrotherapy programs,
Group exercise sessions,
Relaxation and meditation techniques.
Ergonomic assessment and postural advice.
Standard or Kinesio taping.
Referral for most medical imaging including X-ray, Ultrasound and MRI.
Injury leave certificates for work, school or sporting clubs.
Prescription of medical aids i.e crutches, ankle guards, knee braces or moonboots.
Referral to a Doctor or other Allied Health Professional if required.
Open communication with your Doctor or other Allied Health Professional upon your request.

You don’t need a referral from your Doctor to make an appointment at Lively Physiotherapy & Exercise Physiology. We can also refer you for MRI, X-ray, US or CT if appropriate.
